Carbon Monoxide Alarm Test (Warning: Very loud!)

This is a Kidde Carbon Monoxide alarm in my basement. It’s powered by three AA batteries. It has an 85 dB sounder that sounds the T4 code. The model is KN-COB-B.

Do you have SMOKE and CARBON MONOXIDE detectors in your home?

Have you tested or changed the batteries in them lately?

Do smoke detectors that are hard wired in a house also require batteries and if so how do you get to them.?

These were installed when we puchased the house and the house and the main one has been chirping for 3 days. We can’t fine where batteries might go. Any help would be appreciated.

Why does my Carbon Monoxide detector keep going off?

We have a brand new First Alert smoke/carbon monoxide detector. One day it was going off when I came home for lunch. I called the fire dept. and they came and did a test and said my levels were normal for the basement. A few weeks ago it started going off again so I opened a window. We felt no symptoms. This morning it went off yet again.

Is my device faulty? What could be the problems. Every time it has gone off I have replaced the batteries just in case the signal meant low battery.

Carbon monoxide detector keeps beeping?

My carbon monoxide detector began beeping very quickly, and then, kept going in one nonstop beep until I took the batteries out. On the label, it says that if there’s a carbon monoxide problem, it beeps four times with five second breaks after each four beeps. None of the other detectors are beeping. All my windows are open, and the stove isn’t on. I don’t have a car. Am I in any danger?
